1. Install IrRemote on your Symbian smartphone and launch it from menu.
2. Accept License agreement and choose Try now option from DRM menu.
3. Choose Add device and select type and brand of your device from the list.
4. Select previously added item from the list and start controlling your device.

1. Select Add device on the main screen.
2. Choose one of the domestic equipment category. There are nine categories available: TV, VCD, DVD, CD, Tape, Tuner, Amp, HiFi and Satellite.
3. On the next screen choose proper brand from alphabetical list.

• When you are on the screen with brand’s list press key on your phone to skip to other letter of alphabet (i.e. 2 = A).
• Some brands of devices have Alt at the end of their name. These are alternative files, which you can use if orginal one won't work with your device.

1. Select the device you want to control and press OK.
2. Screen will be switched to remote control view. Phone buttons correspond to remote commands.
3. Point infrared port of your smartphone at the device.
4. Control your device by pressing matching keys on your phone.

• Press * key to switch between all your listed devices without quiting the remote screen.
• Press # key to see more remote options for selected device and to switch between them (this option is available if you can see two arrows on the keymap with # key).

• Make sure that you choose proper device type and brand.
• Try pointing infrared port of your phone at your home device from different angles.
• Find infrared port of your home device and try putting both ports next to eachother. If you get results just move back holding your phone straight and check what range you can get.
• Select Alt or Alt2 item (if avalaible) from brand list.
• Choose Menu/Device/Optimization and try all of three entries.
